Race Course: The out-and-back course starts and finishes in Halfmoon Town Park and has a series of rolling hills, with elevation changes just under 150ft. The start is at the north end of the park near the playground and proceeds south to Route 236. The course crosses NY 236 and turns left onto Hayner Rd, proceeding left onto Lower Newtown Road, where the course reverses direction and proceeds back to the start.Safety Protocols: We understand that CDC has recently relaxed the guidelines for wearing masks for vaccinated adults. However, we have no intention to ask our participants and volunteers for their vaccination status. So we ask our participants to wear a face covering in the staging area immediately prior to the start of the race and while inside the clubhouse or in the bathroom facilities. Due to staggered start, crowding will be minimized at the start and finish area. Other than receiving their bib, boxed meal, and using a restroom, the event is essentially “touchless”. Hand sanitizer will be provided at touch point locations.
